Creating Doodle Love

Creating the Doodles Love design was a truly therapeutic experience—free-flowing, nostalgic, and full of joy. With only the loosest plan, I let my creativity take over, inspired by childhood colouring books and my love for a certain beloved crayon brand.

I remember the thrill of collecting every exciting colour, the favourite crayons that quickly became tiny stubs, and those untouched, staying perfectly new. Some crayons glided effortlessly, while others had a grainy texture that changed how the colours looked on the page.

That crayon texture remains in this design, but with a twist—I recreated the smooth glide digitally, using a tablet to bring my vision to life with a carefully chosen colour palette. The process was uplifting and relaxing, and now Doodles Love lives on as greeting cards, bookmarks, and a print that can be framed!
